Help Center
Everything on your desk, explained. If anything here doesn't match what you see on screen, that's a bug — write to us.
The Brain
The Brain is the window you talk to. Say a task once — typed or spoken — and it plans, works, and reports back in three voices: a short opening line, the work itself, and a gray receipt line. Receipts are generated from what actually happened (files written, time spent), not from what the model claims. A run that says "done" always carries at least one receipt you can check.
Working Projects
Every piece of work lives in a dated project folder on your desk. The Brain decides when something is genuinely new work and opens a folder for it; say "this belongs to the old project" and it merges back. Deliverables land in outputs/ with human-readable names. Your files are the single source of truth — nothing is hidden in a database.
Library
Drag any file onto the desk and it's filed into your Library, unchanged. The Brain reads it, remembers the facts inside, and cites the filename whenever it uses them. Original files are never renamed or rewritten.
Skills
When a piece of work goes well, the Brain may offer to save it as a Skill — a small card describing the trigger, the steps, and what "done" means. You approve every card before it's saved; nothing is created silently. Next time you say the trigger phrase, the Skill runs the same way.
AI Constitution
A plain text file of rules the Brain must obey — you can edit it directly. Rules are enforced two ways: they're injected into every run, and irreversible actions (deleting files, sending anything outside, spending money) are stopped by code until you confirm. When a rule blocks something, the receipt says which rule.
Memory
After each run the Brain keeps a handful of facts — names, preferences, decisions — and recalls them in later work. The "things remembered" count in your gallery is the real row count, never an invented number.
Plans & billing
- Trial — after you're invited and sign in, your first 2 runs are free. No card required.
- Founding (first 50 members) — 2 months free, then $10.99/month for the rest of your first year, then $29. In exchange we ask for honest feedback.
- Personal — $29/month or $290/year (2 months free). 300 runs a month, 10 GB desk storage.
- Teams — $199 / $499 / $999 per month for 5 / 15 / 30 seats, sharing a pool of 2,000 / 5,000 / 9,000 runs. Annual = 10× monthly.
- Payment goes through Stripe, in US dollars, and renews automatically until you cancel. There is no CNY price and no WeChat or Alipay checkout yet — if you're in mainland China and want to pay, write to us and we'll sort it out with you directly.
- To change or cancel a subscription, email support@chiefbrain.ai. The Usage & plan row on your account card doesn't open a billing portal yet — the portal exists on our side but isn't wired to that button. Until it is, we do it for you and confirm.
- Hitting your run limit never kills work in progress — it only pauses new runs until you upgrade or the month resets.
Privacy & your data
- Your desk runs in its own isolated container. No other user's work can touch it.
- API keys never enter your container. The Brain's internal machinery holds no secrets worth stealing — we test this on every deploy.
- Your desk can be snapshotted to object storage and rebuilt from it. Snapshots are taken when a desk is archived, and on demand — not automatically after every run yet.
- If your company connects a shared folder: its contents are never written to our disks. What the Brain read stays only in its answer to you.
- You can read every fact the Brain has remembered about you and delete any of it, and you choose how long conversation transcripts live (forever, 30 days, 90 days, or a year) — both in Settings.
- Account deletion is self-serve — Settings → Delete account (the button currently reads 注销账号). It runs immediately: your container, your files, your snapshots and your database rows go, and you get back an itemised list of what was deleted. A few records survive on purpose; the Privacy Policy names them.
- Full detail — what we hold, where it lives, who else touches it, and what we can't promise — is in Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
